Fire vs Lightning
Fatebreaker attacks with either Fire or Lightning. it flips the safe resolution of basically every mechanic.
Cyclonic Break = role partner stack.
Burnt Strike = knockback after.
Cyclonic Break = spread markers.
Burnt Strike = line aoe, expanding.
Cyclonic Break (proteans)
the first Cyclonic Break is cast at 0:15 and targets each player with proteans.
this will hit the baited position, then hit the safe spot TWICE. it'll either be the fire or lightning aspected cyclonic break.
after your protean resolves, rotate into your pair stack: d3mt, otd4, h1d1, h2d2.
same thing, just spread instead of stack.
Powder Mark Trail
after the cyclonic break resolves you get Powder Mark Trail, the tank buster.
- then you get the Powder Mark debuff.
- it's a tankbuster that's shared w/ the closest player after it expires, so tanks gotta buddy up.
OT and D4 swap positions during the next bit (Utopian Sky), so after Powder Mark expires the tanks can share it. swap diagram below.
Utopian Sky
can be fire / lightning aspected. fire results in 2 lp stacks on each healer, lightning results in aoes.
boss will go untargetable, party will want to go in protean positions.

clones (only wall players see them)
the second thing to think about during this portion: players in the protean positions at the wall will be able to see clones.
ONLY THE PLAYERS AT THE WALL CAN SEE THEIR CLONE. 3 random clones will raise their arms. this will be a cleave.
two things to make note of:
- if your clone has a raised arm, walk into the middle of the arena.
- if the person opposite of you walks in, you must walk in as well.
this results in two people being left, and them being in the safe spots for the light party stacks right after.

similarly to other mechanics, watch if its fire or lightning.

Tethers
after stacks/spreads, the boss will be untargetable in the middle of the room.
he'll cast Cyclonic Break (proteans, stack/spread), then the clones spawn:
- a clone with lightning aspect spawns west casting Burnt Strike.
- a clone with fire aspect spawns north casting Burnt Strike.
- finally, a clone in the middle spawns either fire or lightning aspected.
its aspect dictates the safe "element" in the next portion. ergo, if the middle clone's aspect is fire, then the fire spots are unsafe.
